Waste Less, Recycle More Funding Grants

We are pleased to advise that Contained Waste Solutions LBin System and the Byron Shire Council  are getting great support from the EPA NSW under the W​aste ​L​ess, ​Recycle More funding program.

 

Byron Shire Council has been awarded EPA funding to install an LBin Waste Transfer Station at their Myocum Waste Transfer Station under the 2017 Resource Recovery Facility Enhancement & Expansion program.

The simple Australian developed system has patent protection around the globe and is set to change the way Public Waste transfer stations work​ by:

Positive outcomes at Waste 2017 Conference

 Contained Waste Solutions presented its fully evolved LBin and Litter fence Systems at the Waste 2017 conference in Coffs Harbour 2-4 May.

​The level of interest in our solutions was amazing due in no small measure to the very positive outcomes of the trials conducted by Shoalhaven Council at their Ulladulla waste transfer station.

Shoalhaven City Council’s Peter Windley​ (Coordinator Waste Operations​)​ reported in his presentations very favourably on the trial outcomes​ for the 6 bay system they have in use.

New- “Big Belly” LitterFence™.

In response to requests from the market we have developed the new BigBelly LitterFence™ with a removable and replaceable Belly net.

The massive 8mx3.4 Throat captures and guides the waste down into the BigBelly bag.

With the patented tapered design directing waste to the bottom of the net, around 4m3 capacity in the belly, more than 2m deep footprint and rear outrigger frame this net is suitable for even the windiest of sites.

New- LBin™ System “Gravity BumpBay™”.

In response to client feedback we have developed the all new Gravity BumpBay™.

The ability to relocate the system based on demand and changes to sites is a key benefit cited by our customers. They challenges us to come up with a system that was easily relocated and with enhanced safety features.

The resulting solution is the all new Gravity BumpBay™ that uses the mass (Gravity)  of the barrier structure to hold the protective barriers in place

Other improvements in the Bay system a product of customer feedback and safety reviews include:

  • Barriers between bays of more than 1.5m in height.
  • Simpler lower maintenance gate system.
  • Deeper barriers to help guide clients down a path that prevents them from angling across the front of others bays.
  • Tall replaceable Guideposts to assist the clients alignment into the bays.

The barriers have also been designed to incorporate an integrated roof structure “SheltaBay™”.

 

Regional Waste Group Representatives Visit LBin Ulladulla Trial

Representatives from the Waste Management teams of surrounding councils visited the trial site

Visitors included: Lloyd Isaacson from Byron Shire Council with Brock Heycott, Sandra Belanszky and Wayde Peterson from Wollongong City Council inspecting the new LBin System With Grant Lacey.

Since the visit all represented councils have sort proposals to address existing issues on their own sites.

Opening – Iluka WTS with Contained Waste Transfer System

After many months of planning and preparation the CWT system installation was completed for opening on 3/3/16.

Many thanks to the team at Clarence Valley Council and MI Organics in supporting the development of this solution and their resolute belief in the benefits of the approach.

Clarence Valley Extends Trial

After the success of the LBin trial Clarence Valley Council agreed to trial a SheltaBay System as part of the prototyping process. The bay was installed with the support of MI Organics. The location of the installation added effectively a 7th bay to the site.

Feedback from the operators was very positive and constructive. Specifically they highlighted the ease of managing problem waste and clients. Where a load was suspected to contain Asbestos or when a known problem user came on site they directed them to the CWT bay. This allowed them to thoroughly inspect each delivery.
